Professional Counseling

While we do not believe therapy can cure addiction, in addition to the guidance and direction provided by qualified SAA sponsors, we recognize the need for certain individuals to receive additional professional counseling.

Please feel free to inquire at our local meetings for information regarding qualified referrals. These referrals may come to you as individual member recommendations after the official meeting and do not represent any endorsement by the Greater Charlotte Area Intergroup or any other SAA entity. As a non-profit and autonomous Intergroup of member groups, the Greater Charlotte Area Intergroup does not work with, recommend or in any way profit from any individual therapist or therapy group. However, addicts are encouraged as part of their own recovery to pursue additional outside help, especially if the addict’s SAA sponsor encourages that.
